(and other tidbits of
information that don't
fit well elsewhere)
So
How Do I win a door Prize?
Easy, just show up! Each
registered attendee will be given one ticket in their registration
packet. At three times
during the weekend, we will be giving away free prizes, donated by
rocketry companies across the country.
Each registered attendee will receive
one regular and one grand
prize entry ticket in
their registration packets. Additional
tickets may be purchased for $1.00 each.
Be sure to fill them out and deposit them in the marked containers at
the registration desk! Drawings for the regular prizes will be
held Just before the lunch and dinner breaks on Saturday and after
the second session on Sunday. You need not be present to win the regular
prizes. However,
they must be claimed by the time of the NARCON closes on
Sunday. At that time, all unclaimed prizes will be
forfeited and new winner's names will be drawn for those prizes.
Names will be drawn until all prizes are given away.
If you
miss the Saturday or and Sunday drawings, be sure to stop at the registration desk
late Sunday morning to see
if you won something!
The Grand Prize drawings will be held at the end of the
NAR Town Meeting on Saturday night. You must be present at
the time of this drawing to win! One adult grand prize and
one youth grand prize will be awarded. If the person whose
name is drawn is not present, their ticket will be discarded and
a new ticket will be drawn.

Can the general public enter the vendor
room free of charge?
Yes. If a member of the general public ONLY wishes to
enter the Vendor room to look around and possibly buy things,
there is NO charge to them. If they wish to attend any
other part of NARCON, they will need to either register as a
full Attendee, or purchase a limited one-day-pass.

Will
there be NARCON "day passes"? Yes. A limited one-day pass to NARCON will be
available for purchase each day at the NARCON Registration Table.
Pricing will be $15 for adults (18 and older) and $7.50 for youths
(17 and younger) per day.
The day pass will grant the purchaser admission to all NARCON
events held on that day (Full NARCON on-site attendee
registration will also be available at the rate of $40 for
adults and $17.50 for youths.) Those buying a day-pass will be
given a unique name badge that is clearly marked only for the
day that it is valid. Those purchasing a day-pass

or a proceedings CD-ROM. Day pass attendees will receive a
program book. Registration package materials will be available
separately at a nominal cost. Those wishing to receive the "full package"
will need to register as full attendees.
Day pass attendees are not
eligible for free door prize raffle tickets or to
receive a free Nantucket Sound kit
from Fliskits.

Is there a sport launch? Currently there are no plans
to hold a sport launch in conjunction with NARCON 2009. Why?
Mostly because we strongly believe that NARCON is best
experienced in a conference environment. And equally important
is our field which is almost 20 miles away is known to be a real
bog during that time of the year. The launch would just not be
very much fun, all things considered.

So what is with the light house?
When the NARCON 2009 LOGO was first being designed, we looked
for something that would reflect the spirit of New England.
Nobody could figure a way to determine the CP/CG relationship of
a lobster so we found the next best thing. A lighthouse. It
seems every bit of Americana kitsch seems to have a light house
on it. Jim Flis asked if he could design the commemorative
rocket and provide other services as the more infamous local
vendor. Click here for a little
more on the light house
