  • Finals
    • This year there will be two rounds of flights.
    • The top 18 teams after round one will be invited to make a second flight.
    • The top10 prizes are awarded on the basis of the sum of the scores for two flights at the end of the second round with the lowest scores being the winners.
  • General Flight Rules
    • Timing is from first motion of rocket to the time the component containing the egg lands
    • Your official time is the average of the two measurements of the one flight to the nearest .01 second.
    • Score will be the sum of the differences: (Target altitude - actual altitude) + (target duration - actual duration) After the flight, any external damage or cracks detected in the egg will disqualify the flight.
    • The rocket you bring to the final competition must have already been flown successfully
    • Two qualifying flights are allowed, but not required.
    • Qualifying launches must be observed by a NAR senior member, The observer does not necessarily need to be a TARC mentor.
    • Qualifying flights do not need to take place at an organized NAR launch, however they must be flown in accordance with NAR safety rules.
    • Use of reloadable motors is allowed with team members assembling the motors. However, as minors they may not purchase them.
    • TARC mentors may accompany their teams to the finals, however they may not provide any assistance or guidance during the launch.
