Contests: The breeze from the East, combined with lots of high grass, made the contest difficult for anyone who wanted to get their glider back--all three flights over 1-minute resulted in lost gliders. Dean Kavalkovich was up to the task--he flew his clever Double Helix on a B6-4, an unconventionally long delay for a boost glider. This deployed a pair of high performance gliders close to the ground, where the wind wasn't as bad, allowing Dean to recover them on not one, but two flights! Bill Dauphin displayed his many years of NARAM experience, buying a kit from Jim Flis of Fliskits, extracting the foam glider, and modifiying it into a MicroMaxx RG on the field. Zack Lau showed off his rocket glider expertise by winning the unlimited open contest with a slide wing designed by Jeff Vincent.
